Most of us forget things once in awhile, that’s a normal part of aging and it’s not something to be concerned about. When we start to forget things more often or we have trouble doing tasks we used to be able to do easily, we need to figure out why. There are quite a few things that can cause memory problems and the good news is some of them are reversible, such as anxiety and/or depression. Other causes are issues we can only manage and find ways to work around.
Conditions We Can Test For
Alzheimer’s disease
Vascular dementia
Lewy body dementia
Parkinson’s disease
Huntington’s disease
Frontotemporal dementia
Determining the cause of memory problems early can lead to early treatment and that’s a good thing because the earlier we can treat the problem the better you can be.
